Who We  Are

Two years ago, the South Central Robotics Lab was born out of a simple but powerful idea — to give young minds in South Los Angeles the tools to build their own future. What started as a small after-school workshop with donated parts and passionate mentors has grown into a thriving community hub where innovation, creativity, and confidence come alive through technology.

In our first year, we focused on access and exposure — introducing kids from all backgrounds to robotics, coding, and hands-on engineering projects. Through weekend labs and community partnerships, we saw students light up as they built their first robots, learned teamwork, and discovered that science and technology were not out of reach — they were within their hands.

By our second year, we expanded our programs to include competitive robotics teams, mentorships with local engineers, and STEM empowerment events designed to keep youth off the streets and engaged in purposeful learning. Our lab became more than a space for technology — it became a place of belonging, growth, and inspiration.

Today, South Central Robotics Lab continues to stand for empowerment through innovation. We’re not just teaching kids how to build robots; we’re helping them build confidence, community, and a vision for a better tomorrow — one project at a time.
